MASTER PLANS
Bruce Hinckley has been a project leader on numerous large-scale master plans since the late 1970's. Such efforts frequently involve teams of specialists including hydrologists, soil scientists, fish and wildlife scientists, civil and geotechnical engineers, architects, avalanche consultants, ski area consultants, marina consultants, and golf course architects. It is the role of the landscape architect and team leader to direct and focus these diverse talents into the creation of a functional and harmonious Master Plan.
Hinckley has prepared Master Plans for Planed Unit Developments, four-season resorts, new communities, municipal and regional parks and recreational trail systems, ranging in size from a quarter acre urban park to a six thousand acre resort. Particular attention has been paid to cost-effective infrastructure layouts and environmental sustainability. Examples shown are portions of project documents from various collaborations in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Washington states.
